P.E
In term four we had a softball tournament against other year nine classes. Our P.E teacher Mr Philpot trained both boys and girls. Our games are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
We lost two games and won one and drew one. We sort people out in positions for example sometimes I go infield or on a base if someone is away. Everyone in our team can hit the ball and our biggest hitter is Darious. When we challenged 9ry we lost but it was a really good game.
I learnt about new strategies for example force play its when two people are on first and second base and when you get the ball throw it to third base to catch the lead runner out. I don’t really know how high the pitches are supposed to go. JAROD
English
for this whole year I was doing English as part of my Subjects in school. I learned a lot in English for example static images, visual and verbal features ECT…But we were mainly focusing on advertisementsFor me the best part of English was watching movies such as Batman and Robin, Holes and William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. It was better than getting the books to read. We also learned how to write a proper paragraph or an essay. I definitely would want to learn more about the things I learned in English.

Wood Tech 2009
In 2009 the year 9 students got to choose weather they wanted to do Wood Tech, Metal Tech, Plastic Tech, or Soft Materials. I chose wood tech because I had previously done it in years 7/8. In wood tech my teacher (Mr Ratnam) told us we would be making a clock. We would be making everything and painting it the design we wanted. We had wood tech twice a week (Monday/Thursday) it’s actually three times a week but we had graphics instead on Friday because our wood tech teacher is busy that day.
Wood tech is a lot of fun because you get to experience using new machines and making the clock that YOU want. We do wood tech for two terms and most of the time we are in the workshop making our clock and putting it together, not much writing.
Overall wood tech was heaps of fun. It is a great opportunity and you don’t need to be good at building or painting to do wood tech.

Trash to Fashion
Trash to fashion is a fun exciting event it is held in the hall in late term three or early term four. It is people use trash to make a dress or a costume to show it off on the catwalk.I think is pretty cool we have to plan for about 1 week then rig lights then the next week then comes the show. I like doing lighting for that event you even get a couple of periods out of class. I always like to see who wins the event prize. If you win you get money well that was what the prize was in 2009.
Another exciting event is talent quest It is were you show off your talent by getting some friends together and entering a group or band with what ever amount of people and then you perform a song or dance basily anything your can pull off to so your talent in hall on the main stage
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
This year at Lynfield college one of the things I found out that physical education is really enjoyable, my classes’ teacher was Mr. Philpot and he is in charge of the whole p.e section. In pe this year we learnt Gymnastics, Athletics, big balls, Badminton, Volleyball, Table tennis, Netball, Fitness, Olympic ideal,Small ball skills and are currently in a tournament with other year9 form classes for softball and we have pe three periods a week for 50 minutes each .if we don’t have our proper pe uniform we don’t get to participate and have to either write out lines or get detentions The places we do our activities are in mostly the new gym and the top and bottom field and the old gym and lastly the weights room I really enjoy physical education because its fun and shows all your energy just flowing out into the game and its made me think about playing sports and going to uni studying sports By Pritesh .P
maths
Maths is a good subject. We have it 4 times in the week. We have it in G block. Mrs Han is our teacher and she is a very good one that is nice as long as you behave yourself. Why we have maths is probably so we can add, subtract, multiply and divide really big numbers or really small numbers or so that if we need to use it in a job we have the skills.
In maths we have to solve problems mostly out of the textbooks or off worksheets. When worksheets or stuff from the textbooks we must complete a certain task or part of a certain task or more than one task. If we completed it she would give us some more work to do. If we didn’t finish it we had to come back at lunch time to finish the work. We also got homework for stuff like numbers and other topics in the subject sometime homework was a worksheet or a page from a book full of questions and that you needed to complete. We also had to pay attention to the teacher so that we don’t get any thing wrong and we get most of the questions right.
In Maths I learnt that you have to be a hard worker. You have to be a nice person and how to add, subtract, multiply and divide really big numbers and really small numbers. Sometimes you need to keep quiet so that the teacher can finish what see needs to say or do. Overall I think that if you like work, teachers or if you like solving difficult problems maths is the subject for you.

Soft Materials
This year as part of technology chose out of soft materials, wood tech, electronics and metal. I choose soft materials. We did technology 3 times a week for 2 terms. Our teacher for term 1 was Mrs. Wensor but she left so in term 2 we had Miss Stead.
In soft materials we learnt how to use a sewing machine and basic skills. First we just practised and made what ever we wanted to get used to using the machine. Then we had to make a bag. First we had to make a design then had to make a pattern. Then we cut out the material and started sewing.
Overall I thought that soft materials was the best subject. I learnt new skills and had lots of fun. Next year I will definitely choose this subject again.

Lunchtimes
Lunch time at Lynfield College
I’m going to open my post up with a little bible verse if you could just close your eyes while you read it. ‘1 Corinthians’ Love is patient love is kind it does not boast it does not fear. If you read that with your eyes clothes your pretty cool. What im trying to get at is lunchtimes a great were you can hang out with your friends and LOVE the loveless help the helpless and tap the tapless . Lunchtimes are fun you can go just about everywhere in the school and there’s a massive field to play on.
At lunchtime I play with my friends we normally play on the field with BIGBALLS. You can get out different shapes and sizes of balls located north of the field southwest form the girl’s toilets in g block. Its very easy to find. For the real cool people you can just sit in the toilet and talk amongst your self’s. The toilets are available at lunchtimes. There is free water in the taps, and the water taste good better than pump.
Personally I think lunchtimes are pretty cool. It would be way better if there was a playground. I want to play laugh grow. Everyone gets along well. Lunchtime is the best subject in the world.
